Hi, I'm Rob. Like many, I was late diagnosed, not until I was 48.
I am officially diagnosed with Autism, Cyclothemia, and CPTSD. During my therapy journey, I have learnt I also have Disasassociative Identity Disorder (DID)
My aim for this site is to provide a free resource of information, and share my own journey.
I took my first wife's surname, moved to Scotland. Distance, distance, distance. Away from the trauma. So I thought but trauma never leaves you.
I have one reason alone to write this blog, to give a voice to us, who don't. Who are never heard. I've tried not to apportion blame, the details of the incidents are irrelevant, it's the emotions experienced, which are important. We feel alone, no one understands, no one wants to hear us. We end up being blamed for our own abuse. Made to feel we disserved it.
If I can help just one of you to not have to endure the life I've experienced, then this site has given me all the reward I'd ever want.
I'm also wanting help anyone struggling, if you wish, please get in touch.
Take care
